Try these four snack ideas to feel good about the snacks your family eats each day. Provide the perfect combination of fiber, protein and fat. Plus, these snacks are simple to make for busy schedules.
Popcorn – Give your family a snack that’s a good source of fiber. Your family can add a variety of toppings to make this filling snack fun.
Peanut Butter – Natural peanut butter is a good source of protein and healthy fats. Add fruit, celery, crackers and more for a quick and easy snack option.
Fruit Smoothie – This fun treat is full of nutrients. Use nonfat vanilla yogurt, 100 percent orange juice, and a banana as the smoothie’s base, then experiment with a combination of cut-up fresh or frozen fruit.
Yogurt – A good source of calcium, low-fat yogurt topped with fruit and granola is tasty and fun.
