Member Appreciation Day 2025

On October 22, 2025, we had a special day to show pride for our LCF Supermembers. Director Joe Berg shared how the center picked this year’s theme.  “We celebrated our ‘super members’ with a superhero theme. It encapsulated everything great about our members. Not to mention everything great we bring to the center and to the community.” Honoring our members’ daily fitness achievements is important to us.

Celebrating our Supermembers

Members enjoyed activities, games, and fitness challenges that tested both their mental and physical strengths. They also had the opportunity to enjoy super snacks throughout the day, take photos in our photo booth, and enjoy a complimentary lunch. The best part? Every member who checked in received a free Supermember T-shirt.

The more activities members participated in, the greater their chances were at winning free monthly dues. Some of our activities included:

  • Filling out a cosmic burst at our Supermember display board to share what motivates them.
  • Completing one or all of the Supermember Mental Challenges that included cracking a code and crossword puzzles.
  • Taking Group Exercise classes to test their Supermember coordination, balance, strength, and cardio response.

The friendly competition didn’t stop there! Our members challenged each other on the SkiErg machine, Grip-o-meter, and the game Operation. Members also tested their fitness knowledge with Spin the Wheel of Fitness. Members even embarked on a super scavenger hunt! We had 24 lucky individuals find hidden superheroes. Those who were lucky got to redeem a gift card to the center.

We also celebrated with a 28% off ancillary services and FitShop sale. This was our best sale yet, honoring LCF’s 28 years of service and commitment to our members.

Hear From Our Heroes

One of our members, Valerie Wodzinski, shared her thoughts on this event. She said, “It was so nice to get a beautiful T-shirt, visit tables, and have lunch. But the best part was seeing the amazing LCF staff enthusiastically carry the Supermember theme into classes and all the activities. I left feeling blessed to be part of this LCF community. Thank you!”

Mabel Mullins is one of our dedicated employees. She revealed, “The staff went above and beyond to create a wonderful atmosphere with fun, engaging and learning activities. I was so happy to be part of it, it really made me feel as part of the Loyola community and more importantly, interact with those members I don’t happen to see very often!”
