April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month. According to the Parkinson’s Foundation, “For people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), exercise is more than keeping healthy — it is a vital component to maintaining balance, mobility and activities of daily living.
Sharla Steen is proud of how far she has come since joining Loyola Center for Fitness. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and needed exercise to improve cardiac function.
Neck Rotations – Sit upright with your shoulders down. Look straight ahead. Slowly turn your head towards your left shoulder as far as is comfortable. Hold for 5 seconds and return to the starting position.
